Thingety Bang

Uh oh. I think I missed a few days. Ok, here we go. Favorite ride. Peter Pan’s Flight! It’s adorable, ok? I love the part where you fly over London. *sigh*

Today- Disney proposals. This one has been all over the internet today, but I’d be lying if I said it’s the only Disney proposal video I’d watched lately. There are awesome ones all over YouTube and they all make me cry. This one has the benefit of being both awesome AND catchy.

Today is Mickey Rice Krispy treats. Nom. I bought some on our last trip to give away as gifts, and didn’t eat one myself until I got home. At that point I regretted not buying more of them. I prefer the ones that are only chocolate coated at the top (like a Mickey ear hat) with sprinkles, but man, you can get these things covered in all kinds of stuff. Photo from the Disney Food Blog.

Today’s thing? The Hoop De Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness. Yes, it’s ridiculous. RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME.

Today’s thing that I love is Victoria and Albert’s. I was going to have today be specifically V&A’s Roasted Butternut Squash Soup with Tortellini, but I couldn’t find a good image. V&A’s is the meal of a lifetime. As soon as I can afford to go again (my parents paid for our dinner) I’ll be there. Hands down the best meal I have ever eaten. If I end up on death row I want my final meal to be V&A’s pork belly, with the aforementioned soup as my appetizer.

Victoria & Albert’s

Today is the Grand Floridian. I love visiting the Grand Floridian. I stayed there once when I was 11, but I barely remember it. Now I love visiting the lobby, listening to the piano, checking out the shops, etc. It’s gorgeous! I think I prefer to stay in a hotel with a fun theme, but the GF is awesome to visit (not that I could afford to stay there anyway!). Last trip we went to Victoria & Albert’s for dinner (YUM), and this time we’ll be going to Citricos, so it will be great to get back there to visit again.

Posting two today because I didn’t get online yesterday! Today’s thing that I love about Disney is walking down the Magic Kigdom’s Main Street U.S.A at Rope Drop. You’re headed towards the castle, the cast members are waving at you and welcoming you to the park… I like hitting MK first b/c it doesn’t feel like I’ve arrived until I’m walking towards the castle.

Today’s thing that I love is the Olszewski Gallery of Light boxes. I have the one pictured, though photos really don’t do them justice. They’re these tiny little Disney scenes, and they’re beautifully lit. They’re nothing short of magical. The only one I have right now is the Peter Pan one, but I’d love more. They’re just so darn expensive.

I wouldn’t say that Norway is my favorite pavilion in Epcot (Japan probably gets that one), but man, do I love it. They have my favorite “Santa” at Christmas (Juleniessen!), and they are home to Kringla Bakeri og Cafe. My sandwich and school bread on our last visit were spectacular. I’m going to have a hard time trying something else there on this upcoming trip because I’m going to want the same things again!

I think I’m finally going to get around to using this tumblr! Now I just have to figure out how to customize it and such.

RIGHT. Post #1. I’m counting down the days until my next Disney trip, so if I can remember I want to post one Disney thing that I love each day until then. WE’LL SEE. There are many tumblrs for this already. Hrm. RIGHT.

Anyway, this is one of my favorite Disney shorts. I’ve been watching this one since I was about 4.
